Rebecca has been practicing law since 2007 and joined our dispute resolution team after gaining valuable experience elsewhere in general practice including family and immigration law.
Rebecca prides herself in being very approachable and understanding to a client's needs and appreciates that our family law clients are going through an emotionally charged time and need reassurance, a listening ear as well as sound advice and direction. Rebecca's goal at an initial meeting with a client is to ensure they leave knowing their legal rights and having direction in regard to what comes next. Rebecca has found that knowledge and direction give a client a sense of confidence they that may not have had when they first arrived.
Rebecca has experience in all areas of Family law including Relationship Property (pre-nuptial/settlement negotiations and agreements, and litigation); Custody and Guardianship; Domestic Violence; Applications appointing property managers and/or welfare guardians; Family Protection claims; Adoption; Paternity; Child Support; Child Relocation; and Preventing Removal from New Zealand.
Rebecca is a member of the Family Law Section and the New Zealand Collaborative Law Association. She also volunteers at the North Shore Women's Centre.
